MelodyTrainer offers a user-friendly and highly customizable platform for enhancing melodic ear-training skills. This tool enables users to develop the ability to play by ear, effectively identifying melodies of varying complexities that are generated by the application.

The customization options are extensive, allowing users to tailor settings to better align with their individual skill levels and requirements. Notably, MelodyTrainer is completely free of advertisements and in-app purchases, ensuring an uninterrupted practicing experience.

One engaging feature is the quiz mode, where users can practice under time constraints and aim for personal bests, adding an element of gamification to the learning process.

Users can select from five preset difficulty levels or take advantage of the following customizable features:
<ul>
 <li>Choose specific scales and modes for melody generation, including Major, Harmonic Minor, Dorian, Mixolydian, Aeolian, Blues Scale, Chromatic, and others.</li>
 <li>Adjust the maximum interval size permitted in melodies.</li>
 <li>Opt for natural melodies that feature smaller intervals more frequently or more complex melodies with randomized intervals.</li>
 <li>Decide on the musical keys or sets of keys for practice sessions.</li>
 <li>Restrict the keyboard to only include scale tones, catering specifically to beginners.</li>
</ul>
